Tomorrow’s Angel

I saw this first on the blog from the lovely ladyleemanila, go
ahead and click her “about” link there, I’ve highlighted it above.
Then below my own response you’ll see some inspirational links
including the prompt and her response to the prompt. I confess
I was inspired by her response, my response will reflect her
brilliance. I stole the idea of Angels from her. And now
without further ado, delay, procrastination, or setback, my own
response. Oh wait, you should know the prompt is “Tomorrow’s
__________.” And now… wait, should we wait until tomorrow?

Tomorrow’s Angel, Deon Mumple, 07/08/2015

Tomorrow’s Angel is today’s angel, she was yesterday’s angel too,
Because tomorrow, if I wake up, I’ll still be in love with you.
When we first met I knew you were perfect, but I didn’t have a clue
That we would ever be together, proof the fantasy of love is true.

You captured my heart so naturally, it was like you weren’t even trying,
I was blind to everything happening, but with you, my heart started flying,
It sounds so foolish, but when you aren’t near, I’m alone, and sad, and sighing,
It must all be a part of feminine charm, through the years my love’s undying.

It’s not all daydreams, romance, cotton candy, state fairs, and bar-b-que.
Sometimes life is hard, seems impossible, and sometimes I’m feeling blue.
But tomorrow, just know that if I wake up, I’ll still be in love with you,
Tomorrow’s angel is today’s angel, she was yesterday’s angel, too.
